About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified counsellor with over ten years of experience working within mental health settings. Over this time I became aware that for all of us, there are moments where we may need some help to bring balance and clarity back into our lives to move forwards.
I have worked with clients that have been feeling distressed, anxious, depressed, feel stuck, have personal or professional relationship issues, experienced loss, questioning “who am I, what do I want?” or simply needed someone to talk to that is not a member of family or friends, someone that is impartial and able to offer a different perspective.
My aim is that when you feel ready to come to counselling, you do not face your challenges in life alone, that together we build a connection that is; non-judgemental, respectful, safe, and collaborative.
Counselling and psychotherapy are forms of talking therapy. There are many forms of talking therapy, It can be an overwhelming experience finding the “right fit” for you.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor, meaning I have been trained in a way that draws on several schools of thought which work together in a harmonious and holistic way. Being trained as an integrative counsellor has given me tools to draw upon to best suit your needs, so together we work through the difficulties you are experiencing, at a pace and depth that is appropriate for you to feel more empowered within yourself and your life.
My first session
Due to the current climate, I am offering online sessions, via Zoom, Google, or telephone sessions. To best engage, it would be ideal for you to have a space that you feel you can talk freely in.
The first session is a chance to get to know each other. It's also a chance to ask questions about what to expect when in talking therapy, your hopes, fears, and possible goals.
Your first session with me is free and the subsequent sessions will be at the normal rate.
