About me and my therapy practice

I see many people with anxiety as well as depression and usually find exploring past experiences and difficulties is very helpful.I charge £20 for an initial meeting for 60-90 mins to see if we both think I can help. I see people for one hour sessions short or long term. I am happy to discuss counselling via telephone, text or email at no charge or obligation.

Our experiences can be very useful in guiding us through life, but can sometimes also trip us up when we expect people or events to unfold in a familiar (ie unpleasant) way! I try to help people look at these issues without feeling too much guilt. Of course the world and people around us do present challenges, and I also help discuss strategies for coping with this.

I also see students on counselling or psychotherapy courses.

About me and my therapy practice

I see people with a wide range of issues, first appointment is £20 subsequent sessions £40 per hour. I use a range of ideas and approaches to explore how the past might be affecting your life in ways that might be problematic, as well as strategies to help deal with difficulties as they arise. Sometimes the defences or methods we use to help us cope with life can cause their own issues, some ways we use to distract ourselves are more manageable than others, but usually looking at what is behind the initial problem is very helpful, although of course this can be difficult and painful as well! Therapy should help you to explore how you really feel with someone who is on your side but can help you look at what you are doing as well how others are reacting to you.
