About me and my therapy practice
As an experienced & qualified Integrative Psychotherapist I believe I can help you to understand & change the psychological obstacles that may be preventing you from leading the life you wish. Whether you need help with anger management, low mood/depressed, patterns of unhelpful behaviours, heightened levels of anxiety or developing and maintaining healthier relationships, psychotherapy is one of the best investments you can make in yourself. We will look at what you need right now, develop & practise strategies to make life feel more satisfying whilst exploring your unique story to help you understand yourself at a deeper level.
Training in Integrative Psychotherapy means that I use a variety of theories to formulate my own concept of how my clients developed to establish what relational needs were missing in their development & right now. This allows flexibility to my working approach which is always unique to each client whilst driven through a strong working relationship.
It is my aim to create a compassionate, relaxed & confidential space where you feel truly listened to & heard. In this space we can explore thoughts, feelings & behaviours that you are struggling with in order to create change. When you feel ready you can practise new ways of being with me that are more authentic to you & consequently more satisfying.
My first session
Our first session is an assessment session which provides an opportunity for you to discuss why you have sought out therapy and for us to establish what you hope to get from the sessions. We will also be able to discuss a plan in terms of the number of sessions you may need.
Prior to the initial assessment session , our first contact will be a 15 minute phone call (no charge) where we can have a brief discussion about your reason for looking to begin therapy. I also want to make sure I am the best person to help meet your needs.
