I work Monday to Friday 8-7 depending on the clients needs I will look at availability and link that with mine at every opportunity.

Contact for appointments can be made at any time and I aim to get back to you within the hour.

Occasionally I work Saturdays if there is no alternative for the client due to personal circumstances.

Background

I taught Art and Design for 28 years and continue to be a visual artist. Art brings balance into my life. I also spend time writing, reflecting and exploring the world around me.

Experience

Over many years as a Psychotherapist I have come to understand the individual nature of each client. Some clients prefer the spoken word, others enjoy alternative forms of communication such as drawing or writing to help them explore their feelings.

Qualifications

MA, BA.Hons, PGCE.  Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy Member of:

- British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

- Individual member of United Kingdom Association for Transactional Analysis (UKATA)

- Individual member European Association for Transactional Analysis (EATA) 

I am now doing face to face sessions once again here in North Yorkshire but I am equally happy conducting sessions over zoom if you live further afield or even abroad, I have a number of clients living in other countries. Zoom is something we have all become familiar with recently and I find really effective.

If you are unfamiliar with these technologies and video processes they are very easy to access and use through your phone, computer or iPad. Let me reassure you that they are effective and secure ways of communicating.

The most important thing is to find someone you feel connected to and who works in a way that you can relate too. 

The introductory session is that opportunity to explore and reflect and whatever you decide is OK as the therapeutic relationship has to fit with you. 

This is your journey so finding the right person to take with you on that journey is vital and if that’s me I look forward to helping you find your way.

The first session is at the reduce price of £35 and is for you to see whether what I offer in terms of therapy is what you need. 

The 45 minutes are used to examine your concerns and for you to see how I work and what form this will take. 

It is an opportunity for you to explore wether we are a good fit without commitment, and to see  how you feel about working with me, as this is vital if we are to make progress in exploring what is essentially your journey.

I will always be as flexible as possible in respect to times and your availability as it is important that we work around your needs and create continuity that works for you.
