About me and my therapy practice
I am a professionally trained Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, which means I can work flexibly using a variety of therapy styles and approaches to find the one best suited to each person. Currently working remotely from home. My normal practice base is in Orpington and Bromley area.
My professional interests are working with clients to build self-awareness, by incorporating therapeutic strategies that will help them feel more confident.
Sometimes it is difficult to talk about your feelings and what's on your mind. My main focus is providing a safe space to talk about what matters. This is the first step to doing something about it. I can help bring meaning and understanding to the difficulties you are experiencing. Enabling you to find a positive way forward.
I believe the most important thing in therapy is being heard and understood.
My role is to listen deeply, make connections and help you move towards a better understanding of your thoughts, moods, and feelings. Whilst encouraging you to reflect on how these feelings affect you. Often when we are unaware, we may not be paying attention to what's in front of us, life's clue.
My aim will be to support you as you navigate personal setbacks, and difficult feelings by walking alongside you in a non-judgemental way. Finding ways to lead a calmer life where you can flourish and grow in awareness.
My first session
My approach is collaborative, warm, and down-to-earth. I am person-centered in my work and during the first session, I will offer support by actively listening, gentle questioning, and engagement to discuss and understand your experiences and difficulties. In a manner that aligns with your core needs and values.
I often incorporate therapeutic skills and strategies alongside mindful daily practices, to help clients feel more confident about themselves and find balance in their day.
