About me and my therapy practice
People attend counselling for many varied reasons with everyone’s story being unique. Counselling is your chance to stop and focus on you, your experiences, your processes and to attempt to see and understand, without judgement, the whole of you.
Painful feelings, troubled relationships and repeated patterns of behaviour will often in some way have their roots in past experiences. It can be difficult, however, to see the connections and to understand how our past experiences are impacting upon our lives today. It’s not always easy to see how we relate to ourselves and to others and to see how we can get in our own way. At your pace, we can identify and explore underlying anxieties, beliefs and hidden parts of your “self” with the aim of moving towards greater self-awareness, self-acceptance and a stronger feeling of ownership over your life.

Training & experience
MA (Distinction) and Post Graduate Diploma (Distinction) in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Hertfordshire.
Diploma in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Hertfordshire.
Diploma in Gestalt Therapy from The Albany Centre, St Albans.
BA Honours in Modern Languages from the University of Bristol
I am a counsellor at The Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living as well as working in private practice in Harpenden and St Albans.
Previous to counselling, I worked within investment banking.
