About me and my therapy practice

Are you looking for counselling for your child or adolescent using the creative arts? Are you looking for help for your child/teens to explore their emotions, improve their self-esteem, relieve stress, or improve symptoms of anxiety and depression?

Therapy using creative materials does not mean you need to have any experience or skill because the therapeutic process is not about the artistic value of the work, but rather about finding associations between the creative choices made and a client's inner life. Creativity can be used as a springboard for telling stories or unlocking memories that may reveal messages and beliefs from the unconscious mind. Once given a visible form of expression it can allow a space for reflection and a new perspective to form through dialogue.

The process of creating art may help resolve issues, as well as develop and manage behaviours and feelings, reducing stress, and improving self-esteem and awareness.

I am a skilled counsellor (MBACP registered) and have a PG Dip in the Therapeutic Application of the Arts awarded by the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education. I use an integrative approach underpinned by neuroscience and attachment theories andwork within the framework that prioritises the therapeutic relationship.

I hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate.

Practice description

I am offering face to face sessions in a warm, calm and friendly environment, either at Harley Street, London W1 and or West Hampstead London NW6

My first session

I offer an initial chat on the phone, and then, if appropriate an initial consultation, to determine the best way forward. Some people may require support for a few weeks, others may benefit from longer treatment, this can usually be determined after 6 sessions. Sessions tend to be once a week at a regular time and day. This provides a consistent space for therapy where sessions last for 50 minutes.
