About me and my therapy practice
Life is rarely straightforward and having an opportunity to explore and reappraise difficulties in a therapeutic setting can lead to new perspectives and new ways of approaching our relationship to ourselves, the people in our lives, our histories and our possible futures.
As an integrative and existential counsellor I draw on many psychotherapeutic and psychological perspectives to help my clients better understand their situation.
Please feel free to contact me by email or phone if you would like to organise an introductory meeting.
Training, qualifications & experience
I originally trained and qualified in Integrative Counselling (Adv Dip) and am a registered member of the BACP. I have since completed a postgraduate qualification in Psychology (Grad Dip) and more recently qualified as an Open Dialogue network (family) therapist and work as such under clinical licence in the NHS.
I am presently undergoing further professional studies in existential psychotherapy as well as a doctorate in counselling psychology, as such I am a trainee Psychotherapist (MUPCA, UKCP) and trainee Counselling Psychologist (MBPsS).
I have delivered counselling in several NHS settings including a depression and anxiety service, a specialist gender identity clinic, a psychological therapy service and in an Open Dialogue network (family) therapy team, providing both short-term and long-term therapy.
