About me and my therapy practice

I offer a confidential and professional counselling service, to adult clients seeking psychological support.

I am an experienced, qualified and accredited BACP counsellor, holding a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, and have training in CBT and Positive Psychology.

I’ve worked within Children’s Services with parents, Colleges of Further Education, Schools with adults and children, and an IAPT Service (NHS Talking Therapies)

I have nine years experience in delivering therapeutic interventions, for a broad range of mental health difficulties.

Some of which are: depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, stress, bereavement, anger, low-mood, abuse, existential anxiety, ageing, loss and low self-esteem.

In addition to my private practice, I work within a School Trust on a sessional basis, counselling children using creative mediums.

Therapy is an opportunity to explore our thoughts, feelings, emotions, and life situations, in a non-judgemental, safe environment, where we can feel truly heard and accepted, conveying a sense of space for growth and healing.

It is a place to raise awareness, where we can be curious about ourselves, without censorship. It can be a way of learning, valuing  ourselves, and our experiences in the world.

I believe it is in dialogue, where we can begin to make sense of our world, our past, and current life situations, and in doing so, with raised awareness, we can create the potential to facilitate positive change.

Practice description

I work from a well-established Counselling & Therapy Centre - where I hire a room.

There is good public transport links (bus and train within walking distance) and nearby car parks.

All appointments are booked in advance.

My first session

Our initial meeting would be to determine our suitability to work together, establish your therapeutic goals, and outline our counselling agreement; inclusive of timely reviews, confidentiality, Data Protection and COVID-19 procedures.

I provide my clients with a written copy of the Counselling Agreement for their information.

If you have any questions, or would like further details about how I would work with you, prior to booking an appointment, please feel free to contact me.
