About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to my counselling service. I provide an initial free 30 mins telephone/online consultation so that I can tailor the right support for your needs and for you to be able to ask me questions about my practice. I see clients from the age of 16 upwards.  I work using an integrated model of counselling, which means, I am trained to adapt therapy according to my clients needs by bringing together different elements of specific therapies.  To give guidance, and to stimulate discussion with my younger clients and those with additional needs and learning disabilities, I use CORE outcome measure forms throughout our counselling sessions. It is intended as a guide, to be used and adapted in line with my clinical practice and in the context of the intervention with the young people and families with whom I am working with.

Sessions are a full hour in length and I offer long and short term weekly or fortnightly sessions including top-up and adhoc sessions. Counselling sessions can be arranged via telephone and email. All my evening sessions are now via Zoom, FaceTime, telephone only.

Practice description

I offer, weekly, fortnightly, adhoc, and top-up counselling sessions. Each session is 60 minutes (extended sessions can be arranged prior to session). Counselling sessions can be face to face, or via Zoom, FaceTime or telephone, or a combination to fit around your busy life. I also offer care-home/residential visits (extra petrol costs charged).

£60 per hourly session

£35 concession for student counsellors/low income/unemployed

Payment: Cash on the day or BAC’s payments are accepted as per counselling contract which I will email to you upon receipt of your enquiry.

My first session

Prior to first session: free half hour telephone or online consultation. If you feel happy to proceed, I will send you an email with additional information in my counselling contract, we then arrange your first counselling session.

Each session is 60 minutes long.  Each session can be weekly or fortnightly and I further offer adhoc and top-up sessions.

With prior arrangement I offer extended sessions for individuals and families.

In your first session, I will spend the first few minutes outlining the counselling framework and confidentiality policy and then we might begin to explore what has bought you to therapy.
