About me and my therapy practice

I offer a confidential space in which you can reflect on yourself and your life. My practice is available to all who want to change, heal, or grow. A diagnosis or mental illness is not necessary, but also welcome.

My approach focuses on 'encountering' you as a person. Through the formation of a trusting and accepting therapeutic relationship, you can become more comfortable and confident to confront the problems, issues, challenges, and questions that are coming up for you.

In seeking to empower you to make the changes you want, I take a person-centred approach that puts you at the centre of the therapeutic process. My approach is non-directive, which means I do not have an agenda for you and refrain from trying to control you or direct you to a predetermined outcome.

Practice description

Qualifications

I have an MA Person-centred Experiential Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice (Distinction) degree from the University of Nottingham, and a Level 5 ILM Coaching and Mentoring qualification.

Alongside my counselling and coaching qualifications, I also have a masters degree in Cyberpsychology. This means I have an enhanced understanding of computer-mediated communication. My practice is entirely online or telephone based, and I am available via Zoom, Google Meet/Duo, Skype, Facetime, and phone.

I have a special interest in academia and education and how the learning process can change, challenge, and distress us. As such, I am keen to work with further and higher education students, but this is by no means exclusive.

Concessions
I offer therapy students a concession of £35 per session when fulfilling their mandatory therapy requirements.

My first session

I offer a free 20-30 minute introduction session with allows us to get a sense for one another and make some decisions about whether we can work together.

In our first full session, we will establish our rights and responsibilities to one another and begin to outline where you wish to begin with your sessions.
