About me and my therapy practice
How I work and what happens next:
I offer an initial consultation where we can talk through what is concerning you. It might be something specific or a general feeling of depression, anxiety or you might not know at this time.
If you decide to take this further: We would normally meet weekly on the same day, at the same time for 50-minute. The frame and boundaries of the session are respected at all times, and within this framework, I adapt to the needs of the individual. It might be that you will want to focus on past events or for some it might be in the here and now. The work can be on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period I will be guided by you and what your needs might be at the time.

Hello thank you for looking at my profile, I work with young people who might be experiencing difficulty in understanding why they feel the way they do, this can be confusing, and distressing not only to themselves but to family and friends. You might wonder why you suffer in silence? The way I work would be to listen to what you think might be troubling you at the moment and to help you put togethers some ideas and words to make sense of what is happening. You will need to feel safe and secure in the knowledge that the sessions are confidential so we will make a contract reflecting what is important to you.
My first session
The first session would be for us to meet so that I can take some information on how you are at the moment, and important for you to think about how we might work together, this first step is difficult to negotiate as you might be feeling unsure about many things and if this is your first approach to finding a therapist you will be wondering if I am going to understand you.
