About me and my therapy practice
In my work as a psychotherapist, I facilitate clients to acknowledge, bear, express and integrate deep, personal, emotional distress. In Psychosynthesis terms, this distress can be traced back to a core, or inner, psychological wound - a 'soul wound'. I believe we are more than just our symptoms and problems: our worries, distress and issues can eventually help us to understand ourselves better, and lead to a happier, more fulfilled life. Psychosynthesis therapy can therefore support us when we are in emotional/psychological need, and also help us in the journey to become who we really are.
I have 18 years experience working as a counsellor and psychotherapist, both in private practice and in the Higher Education sector. I am committed to improving the mental health and wellbeing of society, helping alleviate peoples' distress, and also ultimately see our difficulties as an opportunity for growth. Psychosynthesis draws on a rich variety of schools, theories and techniques. This is of great benefit to clients as it enables me to tailor the therapy to meet each individual needs, providing a creative, rich and meaningful therapeutic space.
I have an MA in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy, am also UKCP registered, and have a background in teaching and art.
