About me and my therapy practice

I have many years in management and working in a Safeguarding and Therapeutic environment. I pride myself in the investment I put into people, the empowerment to learn, grow and feel reassured/supported. I work with supervisees in business, coaching and psychotherapy.

In my journey as a psychotherapist supervision has been paramount in feeling more confident, assured and supported. It is natural and healthy too question the way we work and how we are experienced and how we experience our clients. It is said we are not good at keeping our own private counsel so I see the role of a supervisor as adding that level of security, someone you can bounce things off and can feel comfortable challenging you if it is felt that you are not getting it right or as right as you can.

Practice description

I work from home in my own log cabin in the garden, which gives that sense of confidentiality, warmth and safety. There is plenty of street parking and people feel safe pressing the bell and walking round the back of the house to meet with me by the cabin. I live in the lovely tranquil village of Chiddingfold, just off the A283.

My first session

I am happy to do a 30 minute free first session to see if we can work well together and both feel comfortable. After this, if we agree to working together we will diarise monthly 90 minute sessions to fit in with both our lifestyles. Where possible I allow flexibility, recognising that life throws many challenges at us.
