About me and my therapy practice

Hi my name is Annelaine, I am a qualified Counsellor/Supervisor. I am very passionate about helping all individuals, from all walks of life, to gain control back into their lives, be able to use their own initiative and make decisions for themselves. When all of us reach a low point within our lives it can make us feel vulnerable and enhance feelings of insecurity. Here is where I would like the opportunity to unravel and explore alongside of you, any issues you may be facing, from: Anxiety; Depression; Relationship Issues; Work Related Stress; Trauma; feelings of Self-Worth; Confidence Issues and much more and be able to help you look at these issues with a fresh pair of eyes and help put these into perspective. I want to then, be able to offer you coping mechanisms and strategies in moving forward, feeling freer within yourselves, to enjoy life more without either past or present negative thoughts, feelings and emotions standing in the way. I also want to help you to understand and manage these powerful normal reactions that can be distorted through many different issues we face on a daily basis. Such as, hectic lifestyles that have been thrust upon us from a very fast moving world with lots of demands and constant changes which are ongoing and unsettling. These can both be historical or present and rearrange them together in a more positive and healthier way in moving forward.

About me and my therapy practice

I am an Ascentis qualified supervisor working within the BACP Ethical Framework guidelines. I trained in January 2012 to April 2012 and have supervised supervisees' through Cruse Bereavement Care. I work with experienced practitioners, trainees and newly qualified therapists. Although it is making sure client’s safety is paramount within supervision, I feel passionate in helping supervisees' enjoy the experience within placements, college/university and enjoy helping them develop competence in this area and expand into their own chosen areas of working following qualification.
