About me and my therapy practice
Hello, welcome to my profile. My name is Heather. I am a qualified counsellor and was awarded an MSc in Counselling Psychology by Keele University in 2016.
It can be really frightening when you are feeling stuck and like there are no options; you don't have to go through it alone. Change is possible. Together we can find what works best for you.
I can offer you a calm and safe space to talk through your thoughts, feelings and experiences. I will listen to you and support you. I won’t judge you or tell you what to do, and firmly believe that you are the expert on yourself. You know yourself best. My role is to work with you at whatever pace you set, and give you the space to find your own ways forward.
Being in counselling can feel like a relief as you get to unload. At other times, as you explore painful feelings, it can feel difficult and requires hard work to stick at; sometimes you may even feel both. Either way, counselling can help and together we can find ways forward that work for you.
Beginning counselling can be a difficult step to take, so please do contact me to talk through any questions you may have.
