About me and my therapy practiceSOUTHAMPTON UNIVERSITY - PGC COUNSELLING SUPERVISION (ADVANCED STUDIES) Distinction
Whether training to be a qualified counsellor, or with years of counselling experience, I believe supervision should be a learning, creative and enjoyable experience. As with good therapy, the supervisory relationship is the core factor in productive outcomes.
My experience spans 25 years as a humanistic counselling psychotherapist, with UKCP. My experience includes working in the NHS, with private health insurers, EAP Schemes and with private clients. My work as a supervisor spans 16 years and my philosophy is to provide a creative space for supervisees, combined with a person to person approach.
I work integravely as a UKCP registered counselling psychotherapist, with Gestalt, TA, psychodynamic, CBT and other modalities, such as Inner Child and IFS (Internal Family Systems). I encourage a creative approach to supervision, whilst maintaining predominate ethical awareness of the client's and supervisee's welfare.
