About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor and registered member of the BACP, offering open ended weekly counselling sessions for adults. I am currently working online or by phone and hope to return to face to face sessions soon.
Counselling can help you work through issues preventing you from moving forward or from fully experiencing your life. A trusting relationship with a therapist is important in this process and I will offer you a safe place to openly discuss and explore the difficulties you may be experiencing, at your own pace, without judgement and in confidence.
Past experience can provide context for the difficulties we currently face and problems experienced in our relationships. We can consider this together, to help you gain valuable insight into patterns of behaviour which may no longer be helpful to you and improve relationships. This approach can increase self-awareness, and our capacity to cope with current and future difficulties.
My first sessionInitially I offer a free 15 minute phone call with no obligation to continue to introduce ourselves, discuss how our work together might proceed and arrange an assessment. This can be arranged by email or phone as above.
The assessment gives you an opportunity to explain what brings you to counselling at this point, what you hope to achieve from counselling and to see if you feel we could work together. You would also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
