About me and my therapy practice

I believe that supervision is a shared responsibility between supervisor and supervisee to work together to monitor the standards and ethical and legal practice of the supervisee in order to safeguard the rights and wellbeing of the clients.

It is important for me to work in a collaborative and nurturing way to:

- encourage accountability and compliance with agency or organizational procedures and professional standards and developing best practice principles.

- support your training and education, both personal and skills development and to encourage the sharing of mutual ideas and insights.

- reflect and consider the possible heavy demands of your clinical work and to encourage the provision of a space within supervision to explore opportunities and discharge emotions, refuel and ‘play’ in order to safeguard your psychological wellbeing

Practice description

I work as part of a small practice offering clinical supervision to trainees and qualified counsellors and therapists.

My own training is based on a psychodynamic model and this informs my supervision practice.
