How Can I Help
Hello there. My name is Tim Gilbert and I have been a Couple, Individual and Family Counselor for many years. I use an integrative approach in order to suit clients’ particular needs either from a systemic or psychodynamic perspective. My approach combines a supportive and empathetic focus in helping clients feel at ease in the counseling process. Given that counseling employs a process of change, it is important that clients feel they are valued and respected in working through what change may look like. For the clients to determine what outcome they want to achieve in counseling. I develop positive communication paths for couples to ease dispute resolution within the relationship dynamic, building bridges to improve self- esteem and allowing respective voices to be heard.
If your relationship is struggling and you're worried that there is a possibility that you might be in danger of separating, disputes within the family unit can be extremely hurtful and of great concern.
With regard to Family counseling, by involving the family within the counseling process it may help everyone to be heard and issues to be resolved.
You can gain a better understanding of each other’s issues through a calm and balanced therapeutic process that allows you to have a voice and an ability to work through your relationship issues in a non accusatory environment.
I am registered with the BACP and adhere and subscribe to their ethical framework and I undertake regular CPDs and Supervision as well as holding Professional Indemnity Insurance.
