About me and my therapy practice
Counselling can help you to find balance & hope in your life. My focus is to support your emotional well-being at a time when you might be experiencing a feeling of being overwhelmed, stressed, and generally finding life difficult or confusing.
I am an experienced counsellor, with a friendly, warm and empathetic approach. I will provide you with a safe and confidential space, where you can talk freely and openly.
You may be struggling to cope, or at a point in your life where you need support, and want to have a deeper understanding of why you feel the way you do. I am here to walk alongside you as we explore together your sense of how you are feeling and an insight into your thoughts, emotions and behaviours. Our therapeutic journey together will allow time for you to become more self-aware and to find the space to grow and to heal.
I am grounded as a psychodynamic therapist and believe that by exploring your childhood experiences together we can begin to make sense of what is going on for you in the present moment. I also use other therapeutic approaches, including CBT and mindfulness, which means our sessions can be flexible and creative, using different methods to suit your needs.
The relationship between you and me is an important part of your therapeutic journey, and I offer a free initial consultation for us to talk through your reasons for wishing to start therapy. This also gives you an opportunity to get an idea of how I work and whether I am the right fit for you.
