About me and my therapy practice

Would you like to increase your self esteem, enjoy better relationships, feel calmer and experience more resilience in your day to day life? I will work with you to help you understand the nature of your distress and to learn what you can do to change and cope better.

Counselling can offer you a space to be listened to in a very specific way that you may not have experienced before and where you can be yourself without feeling judged.

Emotional distress is a normal part of life, it is something that might get stirred up when we go through difficult periods and while we know it is not a fixed state, there can be times when it can feel this way.

Ultimately my aim is for you to improve the quality of your day to day life and to regain control over what might at the moment seem unmanageable.  My hope is that you would come away with more awareness and feeling more empowered in your life perhaps getting in touch with resources you may have become alienated from or you never knew you had.

I am an Integrative Psychosynthesis counsellor and an accredited member of the BACP since 2010. I have worked within the Charitable sector as well as working in a GP practice and my own private practice.

Practice description

We live in a time of great paradox and change.  To live with such uncertainty is challenging for most of us, testing our resilience in new ways. This is an existential challenge most of us have never experienced previously. 

This can also be a time to recalibrate how we live on a deeper level. There is time to get off the treadmill, to think about whether we are fundamentally satisfied with our life choices, to contemplate if there are changes we can and do need to make.

I can offer you the space you may be needing right now to re-evaluate existing coping mechanisms, think about new ways of dealing with current anxieties or to find a way of healing past traumas.

This could be your chance to discover new directions. 


My first session

If you'd like to find out if counselling is right for you right or would like to chat about what might be troubling you, I offer a free phone chat up to half an hour.  

If you'd then like to try a session with no obligation to continue this is of course possible.

A session lasts for 50 mins.
