About me and my therapy practice
Asking for help isn't easy but we all need to at various times. The sooner we can admit that we need help, the sooner we can begin to address those aspects of our lives which make it so difficult to move forward in new and positive directions.
There are many reasons for seeking a counsellor. You may feel you have low self-esteem and want to understand the reason for it. Perhaps you are looking for someone to accompany you as you take your next step, to help you to bring about a meaningful new direction in your life or to cope with change in a fast-moving world.
Finding the right counsellor/psychotherapist can feel like a daunting prospect so our initial session (30 mins £15) will be as informal as possible, a chance to meet each other and touch on what brings you to counselling, and for us to see if we can work together.
I offer a welcoming space in Kingswood for you to do as much or as little self-exploration as you would like.
I am a fully qualified professional counsellor trained in the Person-Centred Approach and I hold a Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling from the UEA.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and am guided by its ethical framework.
As well as working privately, I have also worked at the University of East Anglia Counselling Service, the Norwich Centre for Personal and Professional Development and the University of Bristol Student Counselling Service.
