About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP registered Psychotherapist and an HCPC registered Mental Health Practitioner with over ten years experience working in the UK and Israel in both Primary and Secondary care mental health units.
I am trained at the prestigious Tavistock Centre in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, drawing from the works of Melanie Klein and her insight into the dialectic development of the psyche via its relations with its primary objects.
I view each individual session as a unique and singular encounter between two people, and take great care not to judge or perpetuate any stigma or stereotype. I am fully committed to equality and diversity and will welcome you, wherever you may come from, and whatever your sexuality, ethnicity or gender identity may be.
I believe knowledge inheres not in the psychotherapist but rather in the patient. I see it as absolutely vital to create a warm and safe setting which will enable your unconscious to surface, thereby shedding light on the underlying causes of your distress and mental health concerns.
I see it as my vocation to offer myself as companion to your wonderful, albeit difficult and challenging journey into your Self. This journey is set to open new spaces and new possibilities in your psyche, which could then hopefully translate to new spaces and opportunities in real life.
