About me and my therapy practice

Having initially trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy over fifteen years ago, I now use various evidence based processes alongside that training, which have proved to be a really effective and exciting addition to my working methods. These processes have been tested alongside findings in neuroscience which show how and why the brain develops symptoms and how these symptoms can be eradicated. Coherence Therapy, Internal Family Systems and EMDR are fast working yet long lasting and I feel confident about my abilities to bring about real change for those in pain.

Practice description

I am currently working mostly online as the methods I use are well suited to remote contact. However, I do also offer outdoor sessions. Most sessions are 50 minutes long but assessment and EMDR sessions are just over an hour. I work with many different clients with a wide variety of issues. I also work with couples and adolescents.

I offer a flexible working relationship. From those who want thrice weekly sessions to those who prefer to come more sporadically, I find therapy works well when treated more like a trip to the doctor. You go as and when you feel the need.

My first session

If you make contact with me I will get back to you within 48 hours. Please check your spam in case my response has gone in there. We will then have a quick chat on the phone to ask and answer any questions you might have. Then you can take some time to decide whether or not you'd like to proceed to an assessment. I will send you an assessment form, a contract setting out how I work, and an introductory letter with all the instructions in there about times etc.

My assessment sessions are a fixed rate of £65 for relational therapy and £85 for EMDR. They last up to and sometimes a little over an hour.
