About me and my therapy practice
I am a Counsellor/therapist trained to work with children, young people and adults. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling (Level 7) and specialist training and experience working with children and young people and the use of Creative and Expressive therapies. I am a registered member of the BACP and a member of the SEA the Society for Existential Analysis with a BA and MA in Philosophy which blends into my therapeutic work.
I have over 15 years of professional and voluntary experience working with children, adults and families within Multi-agency/Social Services, community projects and within the charitable sector. I have extensive experience working with difficulties around identity and the self, anxiety and depression, workplace/education and complexities within families and relationships.
I am trained to work with adults and young people integratively and creatively, meaning that in my backpack I have a range of skills that I can use to help clients work through their difficulties. I primarily use Humanistic, developmental and relational ways of working with clients. I am trained to work with Creative and Expressive techniques with a special interest in Play, Sand and Narrative therapy and a large range of tools clients may use if they wish.
I provide a safe space to explore what clients wish to bring to counselling at their pace, which begins in the forming of a safe working relationship.
