About me and my therapy practice
Practicing in Uppingham, I am a person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist and a registered member of both BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and ATSAC (Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity).
I work with individuals with a wide range of issues including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, depression, bereavement (Cruse trained), relationship issues and life transitions.
The main focus of my work however is sex addiction (including pornography addiction). I specialise in helping individuals and couples who are affected by sex addiction and internet pornography addiction, as well as other psychosexual and relationship issues. I also work individually and with partners affected by these issues.
I work in a person-centred way, which means our work is entirely designed around your situation and needs whether you are in a traditional monogamous relationship or non traditional relationship I aim to provide the type and pace of support which will be right for you, which includes drawing on other approaches and therapeutic tools when appropriate. My work is founded on building a therapeutic relationship where respect, warmth and trust develop, so you feel confident and safe to open up about the issues you are dealing with. By exploring and understanding what may lie behind the issues, a different way of being can emerge.
