About me and my therapy practice

Counselling gives an opportunity to safely talk through things happening in our lives that cause us distress, confusion and anxiety.

I believe that if we can deepen our understanding of who we are, why we think and act in the way we do, we can grow individually and begin to see ourselves in a clearer light, learning how to work through areas our lives that are either holding us back or causing us to feel stuck.

During counselling I see how clients become more accepting and supportive of themselves and begin to live their lives more freely and fully.

The most important element of counselling that supports your therapy is the nature of the counselling relationship that we form together.

In our sessions, you will be able to safely, at your own pace, talk about and work through the issues that you are facing. I will be listening and working to understand your thoughts feelings, motivations and above all how your life is for you.

By being understood and knowing that you are truly accepted without any judgement or without someone trying to tell you how you should or shouldn’t be living your life, you will develop a sense that it is safe to explore those places in your mind and body that cause discomfort.

I will be beside you in this exploration, supporting and holding the safety of the space wherever you choose to go in your memories, feelings and thoughts.

I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I attend regular training to support my work as a counsellor.

As well as my private counselling practice, I am proud to work with WAVES Counselling Agency and Action for Children.

During my training, I also worked with Kooth and Cruse Bereavement Care.
