About me and my therapy practice
I use an integrated approach to help you figure out how to move forwards.
Often people contact me when they are experiencing high levels of anxiety, or having panic attacks, so we may work on bringing that down initially, before deciding whether to work on what is underneath that anxiety (for example; a phobia, traumatic experience/s, OCD).
Once you have an understanding of what is causing you discomfort or distress, my belief is that resolving it becomes much more possible.
We can work short/fixed term, for example 4-6 sessions may be enough to learn how to reduce or stop panic attacks, or resolve a simple phobia, or 12 may be enough to address behavioural changes related to anxiety.
We can work in an open ended way if you prefer, as whatever you want to deal with, we will set agreed goals & check in regularly to assess progress.
My first session
I offer a 30 minute free consultation so we can discuss you needs & how we might work together. There's no pressure & I encourage you to speak to a few therapists before choosing one. You can contact me afterwards if you'd like to book a first session.
If we decide to work together after your consultation, I will send you details of my contract & ask you to complete some informed consent & client information forms.
During your first full session, we'll discuss our contract, your current issue/s, background & consider some therapy goals.
