About me and my therapy practice
I have over 14 years experience working with children in a Primary School setting, and while studying to become a Counsellor I trained with Barnardos. I currently volunteer with Someonecares supporting adults and children with Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse.
I am a Person- Centred Counsellor with the belief that everyone has within themself the ability to problem solve their own concerns. My role within the sessions will be to offer you a safe, supportive space, without judgement, to be able to explore and make sense of your experiences. Recognising that each client has individual needs, I can adapt my sessions and my approach to suit your specific needs during your session.
My first session
The initial session will be free of charge. This session will be more of an assessment of your specific needs. My belief is, the key to effective counselling lies in the relationship between the client and Counsellor. Therefore, during the initial session, you will have the time to get to meet me, ask any questions, in order for you to make an informed decision whether I am able to support you or not.
