About me and my therapy practice

I am able to offer a safe, supportive, confidential environment for adults, young people and children to talk through and try and make sense of what they are finding difficult. Sometimes, if the words are just not there, we can use creative tools to try and process what is happening.

To help and see if I am the right person to offer you the support you need, I offer a free, introductory, twenty minute telephone consultation. If you would like to proceed we will arrange a convenient time for a first session.

I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. This means that I can offer you an empathic, non-judgemental, confidential counselling relationship where I will help support you to achieve your unique potential, empowering you to help make change happen through looking at your self development and your ability to make different choices. We will gently explore your feelings and emotions and help you to gain a greater understanding of yourself.

I have been awarded BACP Accredited status. This has been designed to recognise counsellors who have achieved a high level of knowledge, experience and development, meeting the BACP’s higher standard as a competent, ethical and independent practitioner. In addition to obtaining my general adult counselling qualification I have undertaken further training in the following:

- Working with the bereaved (Cruse Bereavement Care)

- Counselling skills with children using the arts (Institute for Art and Therapy in Education, Islington)

- Psychotherapeutic counselling with children and young people (Ocean Counselling Training, LLP, Rochester)

My private practice is located in Hook within easy reach of the M3, junction 5. Parking is available.

I offer short and long term therapy to adults, children and young people. I balance this whilst working in a local secondary and prep school as a their Counsellor.
