About me and my therapy practice

Welcome! My name is Eleni and I'm a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor.

I'm aware of how difficult and overwhelming it can be to search and find the right therapist for you and that's why I would like to tell you few things about me and how I work.

I have a BSc in Philosophy, Education and Psychology and a Masters Degree in Psychodynamic Counselling. I attend regular professional supervision to aid my performance and personal development as a counsellor.

I have always been passionate about listening to people's stories and been empathetic with their feelings.

My aim is to create a calm, confidential and safe environment where you can feel comfortable, listened to and supported. Our therapy will be based on respect, honesty and trust. It is important for you to feel that you have a good connection with me and are comfortable to express your thoughts and emotions, even the ones that might make you feel uncomfortable.

My Psychodynamic approach allows me to work with you on a deeper level and look at how your past experiences can have an impact on your present day life. I can help you understand how repressed emotions affect your current decision-making, behaviour and relationships.

Please feel free to contact me and discuss any worries or questions you may have without any obligation of committing to any sessions. I understand that finding the right counsellor for you is really important.

Practice description

Alongside my private practice, I currently work with Rape Crisis South London. I have also worked as a Counsellor for an alcohol and drugs abstinence-support hostel.

I offer online and face-to-face sessions.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minutes session (via telephone or Zoom) where we can discuss how I can help you and you can ask any questions you may have.

If you decide that I am the right therapist for you, we can schedule our first session and discuss your expectations from therapy and how it  can support you in achieving your goals.

Sessions are held on a day and time agreed with you and take place for 50 minutes (clinical hour).
