About me and my therapy practice
I expect to be taking new clients in April and May.
I am a mature and experienced male therapist experienced in working with adults and teens. I started practice in 2006 and have extensive experience in a GP setting. I currently run a busy independent practice.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy in central Cambridge and St Ives. Both locations are close to public transport and parking.
My work is based on an established humanistic approach (Adlerian Psychology)and is tailored to individual needs. It is a practical and down to earth approach - encouragement is one central feature. Establishing a working relationship with each client is important. People I work with find that they we can build a rapport quickly. I have experience of brief and longer term work.
I have a special interest in lesbian, gay, transgender, work, relationship and trauma issues and have plenty of experience working with issues around depression and anxiety.I am passionate about the relevance of the Adlerian approach and in addition to therapy, I teach counselling on established courses locally as well as being part of the teaching faculty of a large international summer school (www.icassi.net) Training plans include leading workshops in Athens, Romania, Ireland, Singapore and China. Please phone or email for appointments.
