About me and my therapy practice

I'm a BACP Senior Accredited & Registered counsellor with 20+ years work experience in the NHS, workplace based services, voluntary sector and private practice. Village location between Lichfield & Rugeley. * Please call/e-mail and I'll respond asap.

My aim is to offer a professional, warm and down to earth approach where you can feel comfortable enough to open up, be honest and move forward.

I'll fit my approach around your needs and personality. Essentially, this will involve me listening, understanding and talking things through with you so you are more able to express how you feel and also more aware of the choices available to you to move forward. In addition, I'll offer you strategies and skills so you can make a positive change in your life.

** I charge £50 per session.

** Please see my website (above) for more information ie. video, work experience page & anonymous client feedback.

Practice description

I run a small private practice in a professional setting at home.  I have a room at the front of the house with access to parking and toilet facilities.

I work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 - 5pm but   there is a little flexibility in these timings.

Privacy policy - I comply with the new General Data Protection Regulation (2018) and good practice guidelines suggested by the BACP in relation to data collection and storage AND confidentiality. More detailed information will be provided at the time of booking but you are more than welcome to contact me at any time to discuss this.

My first session

Before any sessions are booked we can have a brief free telephone call if this would be helpful. It's important to me that you get the best help so I'll be looking to see if my skills, knowledge and personality make me the best fit for you. It's also your chance to see if you feel comfortable with me and if you feel we can work together.

Our first session may be slightly longer that the usual 50 minutes (up to 75mins).  I'll be taking information about you, your life and what you hope to gain from counselling.
