About me and my therapy practice
My name is Erika.
I am a Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and a Psychotherapist in advanced training. I am passionate about my work and love to see clients improving their life. I work with people looking for changes or willing to explore new possibilities towards their personal achievements.
I believe the decision to take action and seek therapy is a meaningful step towards growth and wellbeing. I offer a safe, trusting, and confidential space where together we can explore the difficulties you are experiencing and work on aspects that are important to you.
I offer long and short-term therapy and work both in English and in Italian, which is my native language.
My therapeutic approach is Transactional Analysis. This is a flexible modality to develop understanding of our internal experience and the way we relate socially. Transactional Analysis can address a person’s communications and interactions with the goal of developing healthier relationships with ourselves and others.
I offer support to individuals and couples working on their relationships with their partners, colleagues, and important others. We can explore patterns and modes of communication and behaviours. We work towards recognition of responsibility for our own choices, and ways to resolve the difficulties and issues that keep presenting themselves, which can often result in a feeling of stuckness.
I believe unaddressed experiences of hurt and misattunement can lead us to repeat the same defeating patterns in adult life which in turn can prevent us from living in a more gratifying way. Counselling and psychotherapy can help not only to work on difficulties but also to explore new possibilities towards personal achievement.
Patterns or repetitive behaviour, choices and situations can often become clearer. Links can be made, and meanings can emerge over the course of therapy. This may help to understand oneself better and learn new ways of relating to self and to others towards a more rewarding life experience.
My first session
Contact me to arrange a one-off consultation. This will be without commitment. A way to know your motivations and expectations and see if we can work together.
In our initial meeting, you can tell me about your motivations and what you hope to achieve. We will get a sense of how we might work together. Initially, we can meet for 4-5 sessions before making a decision about longer-term work. I have regular reviews to see how therapy is working for you and if it matches your expectations.
