People come to counselling for many reasons. Are you, perhaps, depressed, or anxious? Have lost someone dear to you? You may be struggling alone with a problem you don't feel able to discuss with friends and family. Or feel burdened with memories from the past. Or is there some behaviour pattern, that seems to block you in life, and that you seek help to change?
I can offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to support you in working with difficult or unhelpful thoughts and emotions. Or simply empathic listening, if preferred – which is the basis of all my work. The sense of being truly 'heard' and understood by another person, can be a lifting of burdens.
Counselling allows you space to share your troubles, in a welcoming and confidential atmosphere. I don't make judgements, or give advice, but seek to help you discover your own feelings and needs for yourself.
