About me and my therapy practice
As an integrative therapist, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to assist you in your healing journey. I see every therapeutic encounter as unique, which is why I will work with you to tailor therapy to your individual needs and preferences. My theoretical and practical training includes person-centred, relational, psychodynamic, and CBT frameworks
I approach my work from a trauma-informed perspective with a heightened awareness of the specific needs that clients may have as a result of past or ongoing trauma. Due to my clinical and personal experience of trauma, I have first-hand understanding of the complex and pervasive impact that it can have on our sense of self, sense of safety in the world, and how it shapes our efforts to cope with overwhelming threat.
I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I have recently completed my final year of doctoral training in Counselling Psychology at the University of Roehampton, and I am currently working towards obtaining doctoral status.

I offer both short-term and long-term counselling for a range of difficulties. My focus in therapy is to provide you with a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings openly without judgement. I will work collaboratively with you to explore what therapy can offer and how we can work together towards your desired goal. My role is to provide support, understanding and professional guidance towards achieving your desired outcome in therapy.
Polina made me feel comfortable and at ease during out conversations and together we worked through a vast array of issues, emption, fears, stresses, thought processes and coping mechanisms in order to build back my resilience. Polina’s professionalism, kindness and wise counsel has been so incredibly helpful to me and my family, she helped lift a weight that until we met was being placed on my wife’s shoulders and our marriage. Polina has done an amazing job at guiding me through a very challenging time and provided me with the building blocks to move forward and fully recover.
My first session
I currently offer therapy online via Zoom or telephone only. Please feel free to email me to set up an initial 15 min free call to discuss what you would like to get out of counselling. If you are happy to continue, we will decide on a suitable day and time and arrange to see each other weekly or fortnightly, depending on the level of support you would like.
