About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes there are challenges in life, and the everyday strategies we have for working things out aren't always enough. It might be that you are experiencing problems in relationships. You might be feeling low, or anxious or have experienced a loss. You may feel stuck and just have a sense that your life isn't as you want it.At these times therapy may be helpful. I provide a supportive and confidential space where you can share your thoughts and feelings, explore and understand your difficulties.
Counselling and psychotherapy
Therapy provides a space that allows you to explore and understand yourself. It may be that you are noticing that you have certain patterns of behaviour that limit you or you may hold a negative view of yourself which is holding you back. Counselling and psychotherapy provides an opportunity to develop an increased awareness of ourselves. Knowing more of ourselves makes space for change, creating new choices that enable us to live a full and vibrant life.
I am a qualified therapist with over 14 years experience working with individuals and couples. I have completed 4 years in Advanced Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and hold a Diploma in Embodied Relational Therapy.
I have a background in Sexual health and Harm Reduction having worked for the NHS for 12 years.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework.
I am committed to my continuing professional develop and attend regular Clinical supervision and training
I provide both short and long term counselling and psychotherapy. I offer a free half hour initial session. This is a chance for us to meet, to understand what brings you to therapy and to explore if I am the right therapist for you.
