About me and my therapy practice
Finding a way through life’s challenges can at times feel difficult and daunting. We all experience times in our lives when we feel distressed, anxious, isolated, and not understood. Sadly, this can also be a time when we find it most difficult to reach out to those closest to us and talk about what is troubling us. Counselling can offer a non-judgemental, supportive space to address this sense of aloneness.
My approach to counselling is primarily person-centred. This means I work with you to tell your story, explore areas of difficulty and distress in your life and seek with you, ways of working through these difficulties. We will work together to find a way forward that feels right for you.
I have worked at a senior level in the NHS, education and the voluntary sector. This has given me a depth of knowledge and skills that are invaluable in my work as a counsellor. I have a Master's degree in Health Care (distinction) and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Psycho-therapeutic counselling. Further details can be found my website.
