About me and my therapy practice
I am a professional, reliable and ethical practitioner with a great deal of life experience and a past career background in the corporate world. I qualified in 2008 with a Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the University of Birmingham and I have worked as a counsellor in the NHS and for a charity counselling service .
Counselling can help you to gain new understanding, supporting you to find and develop the resources and skills needed to be able to deal with your problems. It can help you to achieve better relationships, develop resilience and challenge destructive ways of thinking about yourself amongst many other things.
I believe that the working relationship you form with your counsellor is key to the success of your counselling and this relationship is based on acceptance and empathy. As your relationship with your counsellor progresses, you can begin to feel more acceptance of yourself.
I am based in the centre of Birmingham in an easy to reach and convenient location. I have worked in busy and pressurised environments and experienced the long commute so I understand that you may need flexibility. I offer sessions during the daytime Monday to Friday and during the evenings (up to 8.30pm) Monday to Thursday.
Cost for evening appointments for individuals is £55 per session.
Cost for couples work is £60 per session during the day and £65 for evening appointments.
