As your counsellor I will offer you understanding, empathy, support and confidentiality in a non-judgemental and peaceful environment.  Through my care and concern I will work collaboratively with you to gain a better understanding of yourself and your situation.  Together we can address and explore your worries, concerns, hopes and fears, to develop your inner resources to make clearer choices and effective changes which can enable you to feel stronger and more empowered.  

I practice Integrative Counselling combining various counselling approaches, working with the present as well as with the past, adapting to your needs as a unique individual.  I offer short term, long term and time limited counselling -  face to face, on line and telephone sessions.  Apps are Mon-Thurs.

For over 20 years I have worked with children and adults in schools, social care, adoption charities, women's aid and in private practice.  I have counselled people with all kinds of issues - Anxiety, Adoption, Low Mood/Depression, Confidence/Self-Esteem, Relationship/Parenting/Family Difficulties, Abuse, Bereavement, Separation and Loss.  However difficult things may seem, I will be committed to supporting you and would value the opportunity of working with you.

Approved Adoption Counsellor - 2013 working with Birth Families, Adopters and their families and Adoptees and their families

P.A.C.E. Practitioner working with Parents/Carers/Adopters/Special Guardians finding parenting difficult/challenging

Attended many short training courses including Child protection, Rape and Sexual abuse, Bereavement, Anxiety, Anger Management and C.B.T.

I offer an initial free introductory telephone call  

Initial assessment session and subsequent 50 minute face to face, on-line or telephone counselling sessions are charged at £55, payable by bank transfer.
