About me and my therapy practice

I provide counselling support for people in Sidcup, Bromley and online focusing on identity, self-esteem, self-care, anger management and healthy boundaries in all types of relationships. I will work with you to explore how you can feel good enough to be your true self and live authentically and comfortably as you.

We can all have our ups and downs.  Maybe you've been feeling stuck - in relationships, in work, in your routines; feeling overwhelmed by situations or friendships; or feeling low, lonely or unhappy. If you notice these feelings and they seem to be happening more often, life can be difficult to cope with.

Your difficulties may feel overwhelming, but taking the time and space to talk through them and to understand more about yourself can make recovery seem more achievable. I offer a gentle, safe, non-judgemental, and confidential space where we can work together to understand more about you, how you feel, and what you want to change.

I work with clients using an integrative approach. This approach appreciates that no two clients are the same, so I will aim to use a counselling style that is best suited to you and your specific difficulty. I work in a Person-Centred way, which means that I will have an empathic understanding of your difficulties from your perspective, offer you respect without judgement, and be genuine and prepared to involve myself and my experiences in our relationship. I also make use of the Psychodynamic approach to better understand your difficulties. I believe that it is important to explore and understand your historic experiences in order to make more sense of the present.

Taking this step to contact a counsellor and take your difficulties seriously can feel huge, but it's actually only one small step - it's an email or phone call to me to see if we can book an initial session. We'll take it from there in small steps...
