About me and my therapy practice

Hello, and a warm welcome.   My intention is to create a confidential, respectful, and non-judgmental environment in which you may wish to talk about your life and what has brought you to counselling.

My practice is rooted in the belief that, given the right conditions, of empathy and support, we can all find ways to enhance our understanding of ourselves and improve our well being.

I am a passionate practitioner and consider it a privilege to be brought into my clients world, to walk along side them whilst we explore the complexities of life.

I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy from Aberdeen University and work from a Person Centered approach.  I currently work in a high school setting as well as in private practice with adults and anyone over 16.

Practice description

My intention is to offer a safe, inclusive, creative, and welcoming space to allow you to explore what has brought you to counselling.

I work from a person-centered approach and access a suite of creative skills to enhance your therapeutic experience.  I have experience of working with bereavement, anxiety, depression, LGBTG+, childhood trauma including sexual, emotional and physical abuse, eating disorders, ASD, ADHD, self harm, relational trauma, relationship difficulties, separation/divorce and suicidal ideation

My aim is to ensure their well-being, as well as upholding their right to confidentiality. Currently offering support to those over 16’s only.

My first session

I offer an initial 25-minute session to allow us to get to know one another.

In this session, we will talk through the therapeutic process and how counselling could work for you.

We will cover confidentiality, safe guarding and allow us the opportunity to discuss how we might work together going forward.  At the end we will either decide to book another session or give you the chance to reflect on your experience and decide your next steps.
