About me and my therapy practice
My aim is to work with you in a collaborative way, supporting you in your exploration of sensitive issues, emotions and behavioural patterns to help you make sense of and find a way through what is blocking your potential for happiness and wellbeing. I offer a confidential space for you to talk and be heard; a genuine human encounter that is warm, empathic and non judgemental. I believe the quality of relationship between therapist and client is important in facilitating growth and healing and I hope to put you at ease so that you feel safe and held in this process. Also key to my approach is the understanding that as individuals we need different things at different times and that a person-centred approach whereby we work organically, at your pace and with tailored support is the best way forward.
My therapeutic work integrates Person Centred, Compassion Focused and Mindfulness approaches. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues including long term depression, anxiety, eating disorders, addiction, relationship and family issues, abuse and trauma. Areas of speciality include working with depression, anxiety, shame, identity, spirituality and existential issues.
