About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my page. Searching for the right Therapist can feel like an overwhelming task, but in getting this far, you've taken the first step in making your health and wellbeing a priority.
I believe that finding the right Therapist for you is the most important criteria for Therapy to work. It is what is most helpful in creating successful growth and/or change you might be sensing is needed in particular or all areas of life.
I work with a wide range of clients, and whether you are struggling with poor mental health, emotional or relationship issues, I can provide a safe, supportive and confidential space to work through the difficulties you may be experiencing.
I have over 9 years experience in supporting vulnerable adults and young people with their wellbeing in a number of different settings including education, mental health and social care services.
This means I have experience of working with varied mental health issues and illness, both mild and more acute or serious concerns. I work in a trauma sensitive way and have developed a way of working holistically that values you as an individual, and your life experience.
My approach to Therapy is most importantly, client led- this means that my style of working will be dependant on your needs.
During sessions we may explore your thinking, feelings or felt senses. My focus will be on what is happening for you but I will also use my experience where relevant as I value the importance of educating and empowering my clients to understand their reactions both in Therapy and outside our sessions.
You will find me to be genuine, honest and supportive, as well as providing gentle challenge, where this may be beneficial to your wellbeing.
My first session
Once you have made contact, I will let you know my availability and options for arranging our first session to meet each other.
Our first session will involve getting to know each other, exploring what has brought you to therapy, and whether you feel comfortable talking with me.
If you feel you would like to work with me, we can explore frequency of sessions, and days and times that work for us both.
Sessions are currently online or over the phone due to the current restrictions. Sessions are £50 for 50 minutes, and some concessionary rates for students/ low income are available.
