About me and my therapy practice

Who Am I? - I am a BACP accredited counsellor, with 10 years post qualified experience, offering a safe, confidential and reflective space for individuals, couples and families. My practice is based in West Norwood, South London on Thursday daytime and weekday evenings.

Fees - My fees are £60 for individuals and £80 for couples, for both initial assessments and subsequent 50 minute sessions.

Training - I completed my initial professional training in 2008, graduating with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from Lambeth College, London.  I went on to gain a Post Graduate Certificate in Systemic Family Therapy (with a specialism in families and couples) with the Institute of Family Therapy which deepened my knowledge and understanding of the complexities of relationships and the dynamics that lie between individuals.

I completed my supervision training in 2015 at the Mary Ward Centre, London (see my Supervisor listing for additional information)

Approach - My way of working is Integrative, meaning that my appreciation for different theoretical approaches are combined to enhance my practice and the experience of my clients. My training in humanistic theories, including the person centred and psychodynamic approaches, intercultural counselling and systemic theories provide me with a rich framework to draw from and find a suitable for the needs of each client.

Experience - In addition to my private practice, I worked for over 6 years for one of the UK's leading sight loss charities as senior counsellor & service coordinator where I held shared responsibility for a team of qualified therapists and trainees on placement as well as the provision of training. I currently work for a BACP accredited IAPT counselling service in West London, providing clinical assessments and therapy for NHS clients, in a community counselling service in West Norwood as a clinical supervisor and with an NHS funded counselling service in Croydon where I work with young people.
