About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor which entails a combined approach to Counselling that brings together different elements of specific therapies. I take the view that there is no single approach that can work for each individual.

I am a warm and caring individual with a natural empathic approach. I offer a safe, warm welcoming, open and non-judgemental space where you can be at ease. This space allows you to explore thoughts and feelings freely.

The relationship in which we build is extremely important in the therapy process and I will focus on building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship as a foundation for the work that we do together.

I am also a qualified Drug and Alcohol Counsellor and Bereavement Counsellor.

I specialise in both Drug and Alcohol Counselling.

Some areas I work with, but are not limited to:

Bereavement, Grief and Loss. Anxiety and Depression, Feelings of sadness, Trauma, Panic Attacks, Relationship issues, Family issues, Work Related Issues, Low Self-Esteem and life goals.

I also provide counselling to Carers.

I have extensive experience of working with many client groups from diverse backgrounds and minority groups and have a good understanding of Culture differences, Mental Health, Domestic Violence, Social Work and Homelessness.

I have previously worked as a Counsellor in a School and in a Prison.
