Availability

I am available on weekdays only between 10am and 7.30pm, except for Tuesdays.

I do not require that you do the same day and time each week as the majority of my clients do different appointment times due to their working patterns.  I offer sessions of 60 minutes for £55, or 90 minutes for £80 for clients who cannot attend as frequently, if they would like them .

About me and my therapy practice

Let me help you to change your life.  Whether you are struggling with depression, low self-esteem, anxiety or anger, or simply need help with personal situations  which keep invading your thoughts, talking about it can help.  You do not need to suffer alone, a counsellor can help you to look at your problems from a different angle and formulate solutions from a secure place.

I provide a combination of talking therapy and mindfulness techniques to help you to quiet your mind and learn to calmly cope with the challenges life brings.  We can explore problems which are current, or look at how your upbringing and how experiences there are colouring your life now.

I do not claim to be an expert, I will meet you as an equal without any judgement and help you to formulate your next steps.  Even though it may not feel like it right now, you are the expert in your life not me, I am there to help you to pick up the reins again.

I offer short and long term counselling from teenage to end of life, and appointments of one hour and 90 minutes in length.  Do give me a call for a chat first if you have any queries.

Practice description

I work from a pleasant office in my own home, there is absolutely no need to feel intimidated.  I understand that it may have taken you considerable time to reach this point of enquiring about counselling and I do not want to make this any more difficult for you.

I do both short and longer term counselling for teenagers and adults, do give me a call if you would like a chat first to help to put your mind at ease.

My first session

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and make sure that we both feel comfortable working together.  There is no obligation for you to return if you have any doubts at all.

We will talk about what is bringing you here at this time, possibly some of the history of the challenges you are experiencing, and try to work out what you would like to get from your sessions.  I offer a full hour for all of my appointments, some counsellors work only 50 minute sessions.  If you cannot attend frequently you may like to take advantage of my longer 90 minute appointments.

We would take some details about what is affecting you right now and think together about how you would prefer your life to look.
