About me and my therapy practice

Welcome to Reflection Counselling. I work with Adults and Children Face to Face or Online working with a range of issues,  specialising in Anxiety, low mood/Depression and Teenage Issues. I also have extensive experience in working with Autistic and ADHD clients.

Practice description

I use various therapeutic approaches in order to adapt to you as an individual. Counselling doesn't have to be simply talking, there can be a variety of ways to express yourself and explore what's happening for you. My aim is for you to feel comfortable and able to express yourself in your own way.

I offer Face to Face sessions/Online and also offer Walk and Talk/Nature Therapy.

I am a Humanistic Integrative Counsellor, which means I can use a variety of approaches with you, such as: Person Centred, TA, Gestalt, CBT, DBT, ACT, Creative Therapies, Meditation and Mindfulness.

For more details about the various ways of working, please feel free to look at my website

I can work with a range of issues with Adults and Children, however I specialise in Counselling Young People 11-18. Having worked with children for 25 years in Teaching, running my own Drama School for children and in my Counselling work, I have a great way of connecting with young people and trying to engage them. I am genuinely interested in what young people have to say and feel I can meet them where they are.

I have many years experience of working with Autistic people, having raised my own child with autism, having my own autistic traits and many years working in this area. I also run a Home Tutoring Business ( KellyAnne-Home Tutoring) teaching children all over Dorset and now teaching online nationally.

I offer single session therapy, long term and short term therapy and ad-hoc therapy. I can also be flexible with session times, if you choose to work online.

My first session

We would usually meet first for an initial, no obligation and free consultation online lasting around 20/25 minutes, where I can explain how I work and answer any questions you may have. We will talk about what you would like to gain from the therapy and any particular areas you would like to focus on. We would also talk about what type of therapy you would like either online, face to face, telephone or Walk and Talk Therapy. After our initial, no obligation session, you can then decide whether you are happy to work with me and whether I am suitable to work with you.
