About me and my therapy practice

 

 

I am a qualified and an accredited counsellor, member of several professional bodies (BACP, FDAP, SMMGP and ACC). I follow their code of practice, ethical standards and fulfil their requirements of being insured, having regular clinical supervisions and continue in professional development. I am also registered with the Information Commissioner's Office for the data protection of my clients.

I have more than 7 years of experience as a counsellor. Presently I am working as a freelance counsellor, wellness coach and academic trainer. In addition I am training counsellors as a counselling tutor at Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College in London. I am also a volunteer counsellor at Signpost.

I am a published author in the fields of psychology, counselling and theology. I have published several books and articles. Two of my latest books are Defining the New Testament Logia on Divorce and Remarriage in a Pluralistic Context and Conscience in Recovery from Alcohol Addiction: Exploring the Role of Spirituality in Conscientious Transformation. I am a professional and compassionate counsellor with an extensive higher education background in the fields of psychology, counselling and theology. I am an integrative counsellor and as such using compilation of therapeutic methods relevant to the personal needs of the individual providing an environment for enablement and empowerment to achievement of the individual goals and personal growth. Being a qualified and accredited counsellor with speciality in addictions I offer a variety of services to address the needs of the individual living in a complex and highly demanding world.

I am an Accredited Supervisor with ACC (Association of Christian Counsellors) and on the ACC accredited register audit by the Professional Standards Authority. 

I have certificates in Clinical Supervision approved by the BPS (British Psychological Society), the only UK psychology and psychotherapy body established by Royal Charter and one of the primary national leads in determining national recommendation on clinical supervision across a range of groups.

The clinical supervision I offer is the provision of empowerment to the practitioner to continue effectively the work while maintaining personal and professional credibility.

Being a manager of services for homeless with Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management I have been providing supervision to staff members (assistant manager, key-workers and night-workers).

About me and my therapy practice

 

I hold four master degrees and a doctorate degree as well as have done a post graduate research in the University of Oxford.  My areas of expertise are Psychology, Psychotherapy, Counselling, Conscience, Spirituality, Religiousness, Ethics, Biblical Studies and Addiction Psychology and Counselling. My academic experience includes a wide variety of contexts and students' backgrounds. Presently I am training counsellors as a counselling tutor at Richmond and Hillcroft Adult Community College in London.

I have several years of teaching, managerial and administrative experience in institutions of higher education. I have a diverse international teaching experience, lecturing in academic institutions of higher learning in England, Croatia, Romania and Serbia. I have had different academically related positions such as Associate Dean, Assistant to the Academic Dean, lecturer and member of various committees. I have also been an Independent Teaching Consultant/Lecturer in South London Christian College and lectured on divorce and remarriage at Southall School of Languages and Missionary Orientation.
